Anthima Ram is a distinguished fashion designer and academician, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at MIT Institute of Design. She is committed to fostering a holistic and experiential approach to fashion education, integrating the nuances of clothing, people, art, and nature into her teaching. Anthima holds a bachelor’s degree in Knitwear Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai, and a master’s degree in Apparel Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Gandhinagar. Her academic background emphasizes sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics in fashion design.

With over three years of teaching experience, Anthima previously served as an Assistant Professor at Woxsen University’s School of Arts & Design, where she taught subjects like Fashion Draping, Zero-Waste Draping, Fashion Illustration, and Creative Garment Construction. She also guided numerous student graduation projects and collaborated with international institutions like the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. Additionally, Anthima holds two design registrations for the “Half Jacket” and “S Curve Saree,” both patented in 2023, and has developed collections for brands like Raisin Global and Heritage Handloom Emporium.
